    Part I 英译汉

1. When he was 14 years old, Hans left home to find his fortune in Copenhagen. For a long and discouraging time, he was unable to find work. Finally he sent a play that he had written to the Royal Theater.
2. Suddenly the men heard a great noise, and looked up. Their horses were fighting. The two men rushed up to stop them, but it was too late.
3. Even after he became famous, however, Andersen still felt like an outsider. His personal relationships caused him much pain. Danish reviewers often criticized his stories and made fun of his appearance.
4. I would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once. The habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough.
5. If I had told you that I warned him not to tie his horse near mine, he would have denied it. Then you could not decide which of us was telling the truth.
6. He took the shivering little animal in his arms, and waded again through the stream. Soon he overtook the slow oxen.
7. He always liked to do things early. Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.
8. I might write pages on the importance of learning very early in life to stand erect, and decline doing an unworthy act because it is unworthy.
9. Andersen often wrote about the triumph of good over evil. And sometimes he wrote pessimistic stories that ended unhappily.
10.We paid a visit and had a talk with the landlord. We were all eager to have something like home that we could always go back to, not a hotel room no matter how nice it was.

Part II 应用文写作
要求：根据下列情景，按要求写一篇不少于50个单词的应用文。任意选作1题，分数20分，不要改变题号。
1、暑期已经结束，请你根据以下要点（可增减），用英语给你的朋友写一封信，简要介绍你的暑期生活：

2、你去拜访你的朋友，并顺便还借他的书，不巧，他当时不在家，你将书放在了他邻居家。请写一封信说明这一情况。

Part III 写作
要求：根据下列题目，按要求写一篇不低于80个单词的英语作文。任意选作1题，分数30分，不要改变题号。
1、请你用“Protecting Our Eyesight”为题写一篇短文，指出当前青少年视力容易近视的原因，并谈谈保护视力的具体方法。
参考词汇：近视 — near-sighted

2、如今食品危机日益加重，给部分人的生活带来影响。请你以“Food Crisis”为题，根据下列提纲写一篇短文。
1） 食品危机的现状；   
2） 造成的原因；      
3） 应对的措施。
二、大作业要求（包括格式、字数、字体等）：

5、写作二要求字数不少于80单词，不超过120单词，内容表达清楚、中心统一、语言通顺、逻辑清晰、无重大语言错误；采用Times New Roman，小4号字体。
